🧂 Processing

The mango chutney is prepared using fresh, ripe mangoes that are washed, peeled, and chopped into small pieces. These mango chunks are then slowly cooked with a blend of sugar, vinegar, salt, and a carefully selected mix of spices such as  ginger, garlic, and chilli. The mixture is simmered until it reaches a thick, jam-like consistency, allowing the flavours to blend and deepen.

Once cooked, the chutney is hot-filled into sterilised glass jars or food-grade containers to preserve freshness and ensure a long shelf life. The jars are sealed airtight and cooled before labelling and packaging. No artificial preservatives or colourings are added, maintaining the chutney’s natural taste and vibrant golden colour.

This process ensures a well-balanced chutney with rich texture and authentic homemade flavour.


🎨 Colour & Appearance

Mango chutney typically has a rich golden-yellow to amber-brown colour, depending on the ripeness of the mangoes and the spices used. The texture is thick and slightly chunky, with visible pieces of mango and flecks of spices such as mustard seeds or chilli. It has a glossy, jam-like consistency that spreads easily, with a vibrant and appetising look that reflects its sweet and tangy flavour.
